Introducing Walking Disciples: A Faith Community for Disciple-Making

Updated: Mar 15

Walking Disciples is a faith community centered on the simple yet powerful calling of Jesus: to make disciples. Rooted in the vision of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), Walking Disciples exists to help ordinary believers grow as followers of Christ and learn how to help others do the same. Rather than focusing primarily on programs or events, the community emphasizes relational discipleship—believers walking together in faith, encouraging one another toward spiritual maturity and obedience to Christ.

At the heart of Walking Disciples is the idea of relational apprenticeship to Jesus. Discipleship is not merely learning information about the Bible; it is learning to follow Jesus in everyday life. Through shared meals, Bible study, prayer, and small triad groups, participants reflect on Scripture together and consider how God is calling them to grow. In this setting, believers encourage one another, practice spiritual disciplines, and develop habits that help them live out their faith more intentionally.

Walking Disciples also seeks to cultivate a culture of multiplication. The goal is not simply to gather believers but to raise up disciple-makers who can invest in others. Through personal conversations, accountability, and evangelistic outreach, members learn to share their faith and apply what they study in real life. By fostering a community where disciples make disciples, Walking Disciples hopes to contribute to spiritual renewal within the church and to see the message of the Gospel spread throughout the city and beyond.
